Fallas Festivals and Events

One of the most famous festivals in Spain, Fallas is a celebration in Valencia that takes place every March. The main attraction of the festival is the creation and burning of giant sculptures made of wood and paper mache, known as ninots. These sculptures can reach heights of up to 20 meters and are often satirical in nature, poking fun at politicians, celebrities, and current events.

In addition to the burning of the ninots, Fallas also features parades, fireworks, music, traditional costumes, and plenty of delicious food and drink. The festival lasts for five days, culminating on March 19th with La Crema, where all of the sculptures are set ablaze in a spectacular display of flames and fireworks.

Fallas is a must-see event for anyone visiting Valencia in March, offering a unique and unforgettable experience that showcases the art, culture, and traditions of the region. It is a celebration of creativity, community, and the spirit of fiesta that defines Spanish culture.
