Falles Traditions and Customs

Falles is a traditional celebration in Valencia, Spain, where neighborhoods create and burn elaborate sculptures called «fallas». The festival also includes parades, fireworks, and traditional costumes.

During Falles, participants also enjoy traditional Valencian cuisine, including paella and bunyols (fried pastries). The festival culminates on March 19th with the burning of the fallas, symbolizing the end of winter and the arrival of spring.
