Falles: A Unique Spanish Celebration
Falles: A Unique Spanish Celebration
Falles is a traditional festival in Valencia, Spain, where giant papier-mâché figures are displayed and then burned in bonfires. The celebration lasts for several days and includes parades, fireworks, and music.
Each neighbourhood creates their own falla, a large figure often satirical in nature. The festival culminates on March 19th with La Cremà, where all the fallas are set ablaze in a spectacular display of fire and light.
